Ethos Rivera-Cruz is the Founding Principal for the South-Eastern U.S. region at Sense Engineering, based in Miami, Florida. He brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience in building consulting, property condition assessments, restoration engineering, forensic evaluations, repair-cost estimating, litigation support, construction management, and catastrophe response. Throughout his career, Ethos has supported residential, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, and restoration projects throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America. His experience includes building envelope evaluations, roof damage assessments, water intrusion investigations, post-fire and impact assessments, construction defect evaluations, contractor standard-of-care reviews, claims dispute support, and post-loss assessments following major hurricane events. At Sense Engineering, Ethos supports clients throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States with practical engineering and building consulting solutions, including Property Condition Assessments, due diligence consulting, restoration engineering, forensic damage evaluations, capital reserve studies, litigation support, and owner’s representation. He works with property owners, investors, lenders, asset managers, attorneys, insurers, property managers, and condominium associations to evaluate building conditions, identify risks, support claims or disputes, and develop sensible repair and capital planning strategies.
